Japan Airlines

JAL is the largest airline operator in Asia and is a member of the Oneworld global airline alliance operating scheduled and non-scheduled international and domestic services to 125 destinations worldwide. Because of dda’s extensive experience in data management plus our design capability, JAL appointed us to handle the design and production of their quarterly brochure, ‘Winds’.

The brochure was mailed quarterly over two years to a database of frequent first class travellers to Japan, which fulfilled a number of objectives.

It provided information on JAL’s constant service improvements and its questionnaires- which consistently drew responses as high as 78% – gave the airline useful pointers for further improvements and made the database more precisely targetable.

The brochure also carried exclusive incentive offers in return for flights booked, which helped to correct seasonal downturns in bookings.
